We hand populate our initial prototypes in our labs. Our team is well versed in surface mount and through-hole soldering. We believe that a hands-on approach is always best. President | Founder
Stephen has over 16 years of experience in electrical engineering and product design, and throughout that time he has provided exceptionally designed equipment for companies and startups across Canada. With a Technologist Diploma, a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, and a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Stephen brings a broad range of skills in research, design, and troubleshooting.
He has extensive experience in the design and development of products for the hard rock mining industry, green energy sectors, and wearable electronics. Stephen leads Podco’s product development efforts and works closely with clients to bring new ideas from concept through to production.
Director of Engineering
Kevin has over 13 years of experience in electronics, automation, and instrumentation. After graduating from Cambrian College with an advanced diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology, Kevin went on to receive his Electrical Engineering degree from Lakehead University.
His areas of expertise include embedded systems, RF networking, and IoT development. Kevin has experience working in both the industrial and mining sectors, supporting projects for suppliers as well as mining companies, and contributes to product development across hardware, controls, and connected systems.
Software Manager
Chong has over 17 years of experience in software development and brings a strong background in application development, custom software, database systems, and embedded programming. A graduate of Cambrian College in Sudbury with a diploma in Computer Programming, Chong supports projects from concept through implementation and helps bridge the gap between hardware and software development.
At Podco, Chong develops software solutions for both internal and client projects, including embedded code, connected applications, and custom database-driven tools. His broad technical experience helps the team build reliable, practical, and scalable systems tailored to each project’s needs.
Hardware Designer
Shivan has over 16 years of experience in electronic product development, with a strong specialization in electronic design. He holds a Master of Science in Electronic Engineering and a Bachelor of Electronic Engineering from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in Durban, South Africa. His background includes electronic design, PCB layout, prototype development, and embedded software.
At Podco, Shivan supports the design and development of electronic systems for both internal and client projects. His role includes circuit design, board layout, prototype refinement, and embedded development, helping ensure products are practical, reliable, and ready for the next stage of development.
